Some months ago I revived my old love for fly fishing & fly tying and by chance I managed this summer to spend one of my holidays at the beautiful Sava Bohinjka river near Bled in Slovenia.
On the first picture you will see me wading in the Sava river near Selo last August 2001.
Many trouts were visible under the bridges, however, due to extreme low water conditions as a direct result of the warm summer months, catching these monsters was not so easy as it looked like.
Managed to catch various small trouts on nymphs & dry flies and lost two big ones via leader breaks.
However, the surroundings of this river compensated much.
The map at the right hand side shows the FF only area as allowed according to my permit.
